Privacy Policy

The short version

This is an editorial website with no user accounts. We collect your name, email address, and message only when you choose to use the contact form, and we don't sell that information. We use privacy-focused analytics that don't track you individually. When you click through to Augusta or call the affiliate phone number, that referral carries a placement identifier, but nothing about you personally.

Contact form information

If you submit the form on the Contact page, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide so we can read and respond to your inquiry. The form is processed by Netlify, our hosting provider, which stores the submission and can send an email notification to the site operator. Please don't include account numbers, passwords, or other sensitive financial information in your message.

We don't require registration or logins, and we don't run public comments, newsletter signups, or customer account systems. Contact-form information is used to respond to messages and maintain the site; it is not sold or used to build advertising profiles.

Analytics

We use Umami Cloud, a privacy-focused analytics service. Umami does not use cookies, does not track visitors across websites, and does not build advertising profiles. It reports aggregate information such as page views, popular pages, referral sources, general country location, browser, device type, and interactions with selected links. Umami anonymizes the analytics data and does not store personally identifiable information.

What happens when you click through to Augusta or call

Some links on this site — including the buttons labeled toward Augusta's guide and comparison pages — route through this site first, so we can attach tracking identifiers that tell Augusta which site and which page or section generated the referral. The phone number shown across the site, 888-610-6417, works the same way: it's a tracked affiliate line, and calls to it are attributed to this site as the referral source.

Those identifiers only describe the referring site and where on it the click happened. They are not designed to identify you and are not linked to contact-form information or any identity held by this site. Umami may also record an anonymized click event with the current page and link placement, as described under Analytics above. Once you leave our site by clicking a link or dialing the phone, you are interacting directly with Augusta, and Augusta's own privacy policy governs whatever information you choose to give them, including anything you share in a phone call or web conference. We encourage you to review Augusta's privacy policy on its own website before sharing any personal or financial information with them.

Third-party links

Beyond our Augusta affiliate links, this site links to third-party sources we cite as evidence — the Better Business Bureau, Business Consumer Alliance, Trustpilot, Money, Investopedia, Reddit, and similar sites. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their privacy practices. If you follow a link to one of them, that site's own privacy policy applies.

Cookies

We don't set cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. Our analytics provider, Umami, is cookieless by design. Your browser or device may set its own technical cookies as part of normal web functionality, but we don't use cookies to build a profile of you or to track you across other websites.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for adults researching retirement and investment topics. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change — for example, if we add a different analytics tool or change how contact messages are handled — we'll update this page. The "last reviewed" date at the top reflects when this policy was last actually checked and, if needed, revised.
